Best Dog Friendly Resorts Oregon – There’s something about January that makes me want to sit down with a calendar and plan more trips for next year. It’s cold and dark outside, curling up on a laptop and planning an event is satisfying.

Although most of our international travel has been put on hold during this pandemic, we’ve been enjoying getting to know the Seattle area and weekend getaways (and dogs!). After spending ten years in NYC and Chicago, it was great to come back and rediscover my old favorites, as well as check out the new creative places, boutique hotels, and unique properties that have emerged here. It truly stole my heart with the oceanfront pools of Coho. Although this Oregon Coast resort is a short drive from Seattle, the modern interior and views of the Pacific Ocean make it worth the drive. Dogs under 25 pounds are welcome in select rooms – more details here.

It’s my New Year’s resolution to book a stay at the Dream Lodge in St. Edward as soon as possible – it should be easy since it’s only a half hour drive outside the city. This historically significant seminary backs to a luxurious and beautiful setting on 326 acres of Lake Washington. We had a wonderful weekend at The Lodges on Vashon in January 2020 – and blogged about it here – and the memories have helped me through the first few months of closing. These 570 square meter front plan buildings offer amenities such as private balconies, fireplaces and jetted pools. State Parks With Pet Friendly Cabins And Cottages

I’ve wanted to live in one of these Insta-famous A-frames for a long time, and I’m determined to do it this year. Tye River Cabin Co. It offers three elegant A-frame units nestled in the heart of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, and all three are pet-friendly for a fee. However, a word to the wise – finding a place can be difficult because each of their amazing Insta posts gets thousands of likes. In the year We had a wonderful Easter week in Semihmu in 2019, and I wanted a chance to see the beautiful views and remote beaches that Lizzie loves to explore. Close to the Canadian border, this secluded resort is home to great hiking and scenic views of Washington’s North Shore. They’re very dog-friendly, and pups receive their own bowls, beds, and (at least during our visit) treats. Dog information is here.

Step back in time with a stay at one of these vintage trailers in Dayton, Oregon. Best part? They are located in the Willamette Wine Country. The trailer comes with freshly brewed coffee, linens, and nice bedding. Dogs are allowed on the Shasta trailer, and more information here.

Anacortes is one of my favorite trips out of town. Drive an hour and a half north of Seattle to this charming beach town with quaint shops, delicious restaurants, and waterfront views. I love a one-of-a-kind vacation, and Rolling Hats of Winthrop offers just that. These tiny houses were designed by Seattle-based Olson Kundig Architects to be modern camping. This luxury resort in Hood Canal boasts that they’ve been welcoming pups since 1913, and with a full list of Fido-pleasing amenities, we believe. Make a note to rent a kayak, hike the trails, or enjoy the views. Read the description of the dog here.

Okay, this isn’t technically available yet, but we’ve signed up for alerts about the possibility of advertising these awesome camper trailers in Olympic National Park. They offer more creature comforts than a typical camper while providing an independent and sustainable way to get into nature. I love the new water’s edge rooms with private balconies overlooking the bay in this classic Orcas Island home. I could see myself collecting books there. If you follow us on Instagram, you know we rush to Seabrook every chance we get. This charming beach town on the Pacific Ocean in Washington is really everything I want on vacation – a charming town with great shopping and restaurants, plenty of rental options, and pristine beach sand. Dogs are welcome at most rentals.

With sweeping views of Lake Washington, Woodmark offers a delightful escape just a quick drive outside of Seattle. Check out downtown Kirkland’s shops and restaurants, take a picnic or relax at the spa. Book a Woof, Wag and Worry Less package for your baby’s bowl, cot and special food. If you haven’t heard of Tentr yet, you’re missing out. We’ve stayed with them twice (we wrote about it here in Vermont and on our trip to Maine) and each trip was amazing. In fact, they set up luxury trailers on exclusive private land like this garden near Washington Mead. Sure, Idaho is a short drive from Seattle, but we could drive anywhere to live in this breath-taking place. Little touches like the on-site sauna and vintage coffee grinder melted my heart. Pets are allowed, although if you decide to leave the stairs, you may need to check whether or not this is a good holiday for you.
