Burlington, Vermont is one of the dog-friendly places in New England. With great outdoor adventures and a cozy downtown, Burlington is both a canine companion and a playground. You’ll find lots of fun things to do with your pup. Bike the Burlington Greenway along Lake Champlain and enjoy a craft beer at one of the city’s many dog-friendly breweries. Burlington breweries like Foam Brews and Zero Gravity Craft Brewery allow dogs outside, while places like Switchback Brewing Company allow dogs indoors. One of New England’s most popular pedestrian (and pup) malls, Church Street Market offers dog-friendly dining and shopping. A pet-friendly hotel, Made in Vermont is a unique bed and breakfast within walking distance of downtown that offers you and your dog the comfort of a home away from home.

As the dog days of summer begin, there’s no better place to spend time with your dog than Cape Cod. With miles of pristine beaches, charming attractions, and countless outdoor activities, Cape Cod is a must-see summer destination for humans and dogs alike. You’ll especially enjoy visiting the Cape Cod National Seashore. Even during peak season, dogs can be kept off-leash on sunny beaches and trails. Then quench your thirst at Provincetown Brewing Company. They’re so dog-friendly (and socially conscious) that there’s a dog house in the beer garden that says, “I bite racists.” There are many pet-friendly accommodations on the Cape. Board your dog at the quality Chatham Birds Inn or spend some “fun” time with your dog at the campground at Nickerson State Park.

The Cape Cod National Seashore is one of the many reasons to visit Cape Cod with your dog.

If you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation with your dog, check out Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Located eight miles south of Portland, it is the perfect place to escape everyday life without venturing off the beaten path. The southern portion of Fort Williams State Park includes the Portland Head Light statue and a large grassy area for dogs to run and play. Of course, you can’t visit Maine without eating local lobster. Bite in Main Park features an outdoor food truck with pet-friendly picnic tables. Higgins Beach is a place where pups love to play in the sand and jump in the water. After enjoying the sun in the sun, enjoy the ultimate luxury experience for pets and their owners at the Inn by the Sea, a luxury oceanfront resort.

Dog Friendly Vacations In Ontario

You and your dog will love exploring Nantucket together. This tiny island off the coast of Cape Cod has no traffic lights and is a quintessential New England attraction. When you see so many pets on boat trips it becomes clear that Nantucket is a dog-friendly destination. Choose from a variety of activities to enjoy with your dog, from strolling the Sconset Bluff Walk to exploring historic lighthouses. The city is full of dog-friendly establishments, including popular breakfast spot Black-Eyed Susan and classic American bistro Queequeg. Peaceful sit-down breakfast at the Brass Lantern Inn. For a small fee, your four-legged friend will be welcomed into the room of your choice.

This dog-friendly town in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is a must-see. Known as the Ski Capital of the East, Stowe is home to world-class resorts and attracts tourists from all over the world every winter. But Stowe, with its seasonal outdoor activities, is a perfect place to relax with your dog.

For the more adventurous, Smuggler’s Notch State Park offers miles of trails through spectacular Green Mountains. If you’re looking for something more light-hearted (but fun), you and your dog will love exploring Stowe’s recreational trails. This 18-mile paved trail is lined with dog-friendly restaurants and breweries. There are also many dog-friendly places to suit every budget. Luxury resorts like Trapp Family Lodge, Topknot Resort, and The Lodge at Spruce Peak provide a comfortable environment for animals. However, if you’re looking for more affordable accommodations, consider staying with your dog at the Field Guide Lodge or The Stovehof.
