First a little background on how we became new pet parents. A few years ago, when suddenly COVID took over our lives and the first lockdown began, my husband and I joined a community of animal lovers to help feed Andy’s dogs on the streets. And so we found a very cute pack of puppies lost without a mother in the park. They were only a few weeks old and we fed them. Among them was a strong and playful dog and one of our friends immediately named him Raju as it was every dog’s favorite name.
Raju became increasingly sullen and sullen and soon became a happy but strong alpha. Unfortunately, a tragedy happened and apparently in the middle of the night, some robbers beat him when he was six months old and broke his spine. Raju was a very smart boy who was semi-paralyzed and in a lot of pain – many doctors told us to put him down. Eventually one of them agreed to the surgery and we brought him home, hoping that one day he would walk and run like a normal dog. However, two years later, when he can stand and walk a bit, he is still semi-paralyzed and unsteady but runs with the wheelchair we got for him. And Raju is a bit of a traveler who has been to beaches and jungles and now has a wonderful vacation in the mountains. His younger sister, Ishu has always been with him through thick and thin and she also started staying with us in the last few months and this was her first trip away from home.
