This is also the time of year when I start planning the summer and looking for the best family vacations to take, especially with small children.

Our summer started to look a little different after Diego was born. My priorities for what our family vacation should look like have shifted from the best things to making sure it can accommodate our little family of three. And while amenities are still important, they now give second priority to family-friendly facilities. When looking for family vacation spots, I like to focus on five main things:

Now that you know what I look for in a family vacation, here is a list of the best family vacations. Whether you are in America You want to stay or if you are in America You want to go to hot countries outside there, then the list has something you want!

Best Places To Visit In The Usa
As you know, I’m from Mexico and any excuse to go back, I’m there! This resort is friendly and has great prices on most of the things I like. Their products for children are good. I can rent a stroller and cots for Diego, which makes packing and moving easier. They also have “Azulitos Playhouse by Nickelodeon” and 5 different pools if we want to take Diego to a safe place to escape to.
This family resort has a variety of dining options. Some are more family friendly than others. As for rooms, there are many options depending on how many are in your family and what you want. The snake room can fit 2 adults or 2 adults + 1 child, which would work well for my family of 3. However, some suite options offer separate rooms to accommodate a sleeping baby, which are more expensive.
Please give me all the tropical paradise! Even though I have never been here, the pictures are amazing and the Home House has everything. There are tons of restaurants (21 to be exact), a kids camp, and Pirates Island Waterpark. While Diego may be young at the water park, there is still plenty to do, and five different “villages”.
The best thing about this resort is the availability of self-catering rooms. In addition, rooms and facilities will be suitable for large families; It might be too much for my family of 3. US This article from World News & Reports provides more information about this park overview.
Best Places To Visit In Germany With Family In 2024!
This is the best place I have ever been! Let me say, it’s amazing. One thing that surprised me was the variety of food. Their website has over 25 dining options, from steakhouse and Asian cuisine to Italian, basically anything your heart desires.
There are 4 different places you can choose to stay on your trip and each offers a slightly different experience. No matter where you live, there will always be a pool. They also have a nature trail that you can walk or bike with the family, as well as a “day camp” for the little ones that includes kayaking, archery, boat trips and more.
When I think of tropical places, I think of the Bahamas. The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau Bahamas is clean and beautiful but still caters to families, however, not all. They have many dining options; ‘Costa’ is mostly what the site describes as family friendly. In addition, they have 6 swimming pools, a kids club and a wildlife experience. Their website doesn’t mention anything about couch and vehicle rentals.
This park is as good as I want to visit in Jamaica. With your own private villa to stay in, it gives everyone plenty of space to themselves. The park also has facilities for children. They offer babysitting services, as well as a kids club (Diego must be accompanied by a babysitter to participate in their children’s activities).

There are many places to eat, although there is a chef during your stay to prepare your meals, so you don’t have to worry about going out every night! This is a big plus for me. Although I like to cook a little, if someone wants to do it for me, I will gladly let them, haha!
Mexico does the math again! Located in Playa del Carmen, this is a public park. This website shows that it has many services and activities such as a water park, childcare services from 12 months to 4 years, beach sports and more.
In terms of food and restaurants, there are many to choose from. Although some are adults only, they have many types that are open to everyone, including children. For accommodation, they offer different rooms depending on your needs. For example, some rooms are designed with families in mind (think little clothes and slippers for children) while others are only suitable for adults.

Located in Hawley, Pennsylvania, Woodloch Resort takes you from the beach to the beautiful forest. Friendly amenities and activities include an indoor pad, bar, snow tubing, go karts and other activities they run while you’re there. Additionally, there are many meal plans to choose from. You can choose to eat 2 or 3 meals a day or no meal plan (they have restaurants where you can eat).
Whether you’re traveling with your entire family or extended family, accommodation options range from a room (hotel style) or an entire home. So, the choice is yours!
No list of great family vacation spots is complete without a trip to Hawaii. While Maui often gets all the credit, consider an escape to Kauai. Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa has a variety of fun activities for kids and adults. Not only do they have an amazing pool and lazy river, they also have ‘Camp Hyatt for Cakes’ which is a camp with activities for kids.
The resort offers suites or standard hotel rooms, however, only one presidential suite offers a full kitchen. That said, you may need to prepare food outside. This area offers dining options. In particular, Seaview Terrace claims to have a kid-friendly menu.

I have heard many good things about this place from friends who have been there. And do you expect anything less from Disney?
Disney is great about being family friendly and according to their website, there are lots of fun things for kids to do. Auntie’s Beach House is a place for kids ages 3-12 to do crafts, watch movies, and more. The family pool also has a Keki Cove area…which I know Diego will love! and other lakes such as Waikoloahe Pool and Waikoloahe Stream. Honestly, this park has a lot of family fun; See the full list of activities here. It’s also great because you can choose from a room or a bedroom or a villa (which includes a kitchen, washer/dryer, etc.).
Disney also has great cruise options for Spring 2019! So if a trip to the open sea is more your speed, you can check it out here.
I love California and the great thing about San Diego is that it is a short drive/easy plane ride from Arizona for my family. It has everything from amazing beaches (think Coronado Beach) to Legoland and Sea World. Not to mention, San Diego is great in general.
