We are always looking for beautiful places to visit with our family. In my search for new ideas for family travel destinations, I decided to connect with other traveling families and share their best, worldwide family travel destinations.

Covering many family-friendly destinations around the world, I’ve received mixed feedback. From winter holidays in the Arctic to deserted beaches in the Pacific, from city breaks to ski resorts – there’s something here for everyone.
I’m happy to say that some of the world’s most well-travelled families have contributed to this article. These are individual families who have explored many places around the world and share their favorite places to travel with returning families.

How Much Does A Family Vacation To The Caribbean Cost?
Port Douglas has the world’s largest coral reef system and the oldest rainforest to explore. What more could you want? Snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, the canopy of the Daintree Rainforest, playing on beautiful beaches, searching for wild crocodiles on the riverbanks, and eating delicious ice cream made from tropical forest fruits.
Tip: The Daintree is easily accessible as a day trip from Cairns or Port Douglas. You can find a great selection of organized tours here.
Where you can watch blue whales from a ship, swim in icy glacial waters, watch continents split around you and feel the roar of Europe’s largest waterfall, all in just a few hours. If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, Iceland is one of the safest countries in the world. You can even look up the Prime Minister from the phone book.
Icelanders understand the special needs of children and families. It’s rare to find a restaurant that doesn’t have a dedicated area for kids to play.
Best Beach Vacations With Family: Where To Go And What To Do
Also, Iceland is very easy to travel on your own. In summer, you can drive the entire Ring Road or focus on the South Coast attractions – there’s plenty to see and do with the kids. If you don’t want to drive in Iceland in winter, you can stay in Reykjavík and visit for a few days.

Over the past few years, Bali has become one of our favorite family travel destinations. There’s a perfect combination of beach and culture, and there’s always something to do, from attending festivals (which always seem to happen) to visiting water parks to walking through rice paddies.
The rainy season (November to March) is as the name suggests, but the weather is warm throughout the year. The food is good and the prices are low. My 10-year-old’s favorite restaurant in the world is Kuka near Jimbaran Beach.

Hotels in Bali are great and definitely welcome children. We stayed not only in beachfront hotels, but also in villas with private plunge pools overlooking river valleys and villas surrounded by rice paddies. We always try to offer activities like fish feeding, anti-gravity yoga, rice farming, pottery making and local walks in our hotels. We are never ready for the test.
Although the number of tourists is increasing every year, Bali does not feel crowded with tourists. Ubud maintains a really fun and artistic feel. Plus, there’s a monkey forest – what kid doesn’t want to be surrounded by monkeys?
Costa Rica is one of the most recommended family travel destinations in the US. Tropical climate, beaches, rainforests, plenty of sightseeing opportunities, exciting adventure activities and diverse wildlife: it has all the elements for a family-friendly travel experience.

If you are looking for a true vacation destination for your family, consider Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It’s a special place (and quite different from anywhere else on this list), but it has a lot to offer for families!
From beaches to deserts and skyscraper attractions for the whole family, there is so much to see and do in Dubai that you can spend many family holidays here and never get bored.
Visit the world’s tallest building, ride a camel in the desert, spend time in one of the many theme parks or swim in the world’s most impressive water parks… these are just some of the great things to do in Dubai. . Children!
