From demonstrations to dog shows and dog yoga, here’s where you and your pooch can explore our fantastic city together.
Life jackets are recommended (and provided) for puppies. Special obedience training is required (unless the owner wants to focus on the river). It’s also a great way to bond with your partner, stay active and healthy, and of course take selfies with strangers.
Dog & Human SUP groups run three-hour sessions in the spring and summer and start at the Kewen Bridge and stop in the middle of the web. If you miss a day, the club also collects a boat in the autumn. They leave from the Canoe Club in Teddington. With the help of an instructor, one or two people in each leg can canoe or kayak with their four-legged friends. Once inside, you’ll float past the All Blacks gym. Expect to send lots of Quirites with a stunning view of Regumton on the Thames in the background.
Several dogs are accepted on board (we recommend two), well behaved and treated well by the staff at Merchants in the Square.
Paw Stively Brilliant Dog Friendly Days Out Around The Uk
An electrifying (and eclectic) Go boat experience cruise along the Canal around Paddington, Little Blue and up to Camden Locks. Up to seven passengers can choose between two or three hour journeys through the tunnels and the opportunity to ‘gram everything from London Zoo to Camden Market. Picnics can be taken on board at no extra cost, and blankets and umbrellas are provided on rainy days.
The Tower Bridge features a walk through two 42m high bridges with views of the city and glass panels (perfect for the ‘gram), like a Victorian steam room steeped in history. Dogs are welcome on the sidewalks and in the engine rooms Tip: avoid the crowds and come early in the morning. There are also stands so you don’t have to have a puppy upstairs.
Open from late spring to early autumn, Peckham Rye Rooftop Film Club is located at the top of the Bussey Building and is one of three dog-friendly film clubs in the centre. It features cult classics and new releases with stunning views of the London skyline. And if you’re lucky, you’ll even be treated to a spectacular sunset. Wireless headphones and a comfortable chaise lounge top the list, along with blankets for those pesky cold days. In addition to film screenings, you can expect plenty of drink ideas and snacks at the chicken bar.
Dogs who are not bothered by emergency noise can attend the performers, with performances every Sunday starting at 3.30pm. Exceptions are required.

This theater show and dining experience from productions of the funicular boys and girls will see passengers board Pedley Street Station, a railway arch in Bethnal Green which has been transformed into a 19th century luxury railway carriage. After a cocktail (or burst) in the Seven Sins platform bar, London begins its journey to the French poetic city of Mord. In short, when one of the passengers is mysteriously found dead, the party quickly turns into a murder investigation, and yes, the dog didn’t do it. After the quiz or shortly after, guests are presented with a menu of three courses created by BBC One Chef 2016 finalists Billy and Jack. It’s also Insta-friendly.
Founded in 2012 by London-based yoga teacher Mahni Jahanguiri, Doga (Dog and Dog) hopes to create a positive connection, greater harmony and a sense of peace between people and their dogs. The session combines yoga, meditation, gentle massaging and stretching and can be practiced with small or large dogs. From Walthamstow to Lewisham, six of the seven blocks of flats welcomed by Fizzy Live have treated residents with care, helping to organize regular social and dog-with-children sessions for residents and visitors. Sessions led by Doga Mahni can be booked throughout the year at home or abroad depending on the season.
The limited edition Dog Tail menu (basically a cocktail menu for dogs) was a hit when it launched in the spring, and is now a permanent fixture at Smith & Whistles. Dogbeer (chicken broth) and Pawsecco (herb stock) are only served in clear containers at the bar. Other refreshments include a coconut water-based concoction prepared by a canine mixologist.

Berwick Museum and Art Gallery is open from April – late autumn and dogs are always welcome. It is a wonderful museum with various exhibits. My favorite part is the medieval section of Upper Berwick where you can walk around with your dog and dragon and there are all kinds of silly spectacles too.

Barter Books in Alnwick is one of the largest second-hand bookshops in the world. It is very charming with unique features and nods to the past as a railway station.
