There’s plenty of time to find your sea legs so those on four can get a little restless.

Penny had a good time with the wind in her ears and a lot of noise among the crew and then took a good nap under the chair.

Extended opening hours for exploring, drinking water and treats, a dog-friendly cafe and must-see morning and evening trails. There are also plans to install a self-service dog wash to keep dogs and top cars in top shape. 

One of the most popular is Canonteign Falls on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. You can bring your dog here for free as long as you guide the 90-acre wildlife sanctuary.

A forest walk takes you up and down to explore the area’s natural waterfalls before reaching the main stream, Lady Exmouth Falls. This spectacular 70-meter waterfall was created by a group of miners in the 1880s, when Mrs. Emmett, who lived in Canton, requested that the waterfall descend from the property’s railroad to a nearby rock formation.

Your pet will be allocated a ticket by South Devon Railway. This beautiful day out takes travelers on a 14 mile return journey along the stunning River Dart valley between Buckfastleigh and Totnes. Dogs are allowed on board as long as they stay away from the seats.

The Seaton Tramway is an alternative way to ride the rails for everyone. Dogs can ride on the lower floors of trams if accompanied by a human. Passengers on very good trains may even be treated on their way to Seaton Station.

Morrowham Quay, near Tavistock, is a Victorian village where costume guides offer hands-on activities and interactive lessons. Dogs can also stay together, as long as they are on a leash.

Life dogs can visit their smaller counterparts at Babbacombe Model Village in Torquay. An old family favourite, this four storey house is set in pretty gardens. Visitors can discover interesting characters and animations such as trains and even fiery dragons.

Dogs are welcome at Coldharbour Mill in Uffculme. It is one of the last surviving Victorian woolen mills and has been in production since 1797.

It is still a wool museum where visitors can relive the sights and sounds of the Industrial Revolution and see artisans at work on traditional textiles, fine textiles and handwoven carpets. 

Well-behaved canine companions can explore the 60 acres of Buckfast Abbey, home to Roman Catholic Benedictine monks. There are rules that include keeping pets away from buildings and structures and making sure your dogs don’t jump on other guests.

Powderham Castle, near Exeter, is accessible. Dogs on board can take tours of the castle (with their owners), enjoy the many grounds in addition to the walled garden play area, pet corner and deer park.

The non-profit group shows the best tourist destinations of the city. To become a member, an organization must go through a rigorous review process and maintain certain quality standards. More than 40 members include theme parks, animal encounters, historic homes and gardens, museums, steam railways, boats and trams.

It is important that we continue to promote these ads as our local businesses need more and more support during these difficult times. Not all of these resorts allow dogs in all indoor areas, but they do allow dogs in indoor/closed areas.

Dog Friendly Belfast

Berwick Museum and Art Gallery is open from April to late autumn and dogs are welcome. This is a great museum with various exhibits. My favorite is the medieval Berwick Tower, where you can walk your dog past dragons and all sorts of silly mirrors.

Barter Books in Alnwick is one of the most used bookshops in the world. With its unique features and vibes, it’s incredibly charming and passes as a train station.

Hesham Old Town is located in the heart of downtown Hesham and is dog friendly. Open from April to late fall. The museum is the oldest recorded prison and shares the lives of prisoners in the 1300s with interactive exhibits such as logistics and dungeons.
