Where To Take My Family On Vacation

Where To Take My Family On Vacation – My husband and I love traveling with children! There is something magical about a family vacation, especially when it comes to a beautiful beach like Destin, Florida. Our recent trip was made even more special by staying at a Vrbo condo at Seascape Resort. In this blog post, we’ll talk about what we did, where we ate, the benefits of that awesome Vrbo, and how to take a baby (or toddler… I’m in denial) to the beach.

Our Vrbo at Seascape has many amenities to make our trips a success. The two large pools were a huge hit with our kids, who spent hours splashing around and making new friends. In apartment buildings, built-in bunk beds would be a fun feature for them too! A fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare beach meals every day, including delicious tomato sandwiches. The renovated bathroom and floors were beautiful and the stunning sea view from our balcony was absolutely stunning. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room, but we didn’t need to use it. I can confidently say that this Vrbo will comfortably accommodate a family of six if you’re willing to do day retreats. Another advantage is the short walk from the hotel to the beach, which is very convenient for an afternoon relaxation with children. Finally, I would like to mention the magnificent walking paths around the seascape. The paved trail extends for several miles just steps from the hotel. The beach breeze is very calming and allows you to do a little morning exercise. We will definitely stay at this Vrbo condo again!

During our stay, we discovered nearby dining and entertainment options that made our vacation truly memorable. One night I put the baby in the beach stroller while the older boys rode their bikes to the Surf Hut. We enjoyed the relaxing, family atmosphere and dinner on the beach at Surf Hut. The next evening we watched the sunset while having a picnic on the beach with Marco’s delicious pizza and key lime pie from Publix! This was definitely the highlight of our trip. The crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, building sand castles and enjoying this beautiful paradise.

If you are traveling with children, the track is a must visit. Our kids (and we) had a lot of fun racing around the go-kart track! Let me brag, I beat my husband in the last round! My middle son, who came with me, still tells stories about how we beat dad! The track also has several children’s rides and a games room.

Since this is our third time taking our baby to the beach, I wanted to share some tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years. Yes, taking your child to the beach requires extra effort, but with careful planning it can be a fun experience. First, set the bar low. Your child may love the beach and everything that comes with it, or he may hate the sand, heat, salt water and lack of control. Be flexible with them as they adjust to this new environment. You may have to collect it gradually. Until they get used to everything. Don’t compare what your baby does on day one (or day two) with photos that are beautifully presented online (including mine!).

Well, now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about what to bring. First, be sure to bring plenty of baby sunscreen, a swimsuit for boys, and a hat to protect your baby from the sun. Bring plenty of swim diapers, wet wipes, and plastic bags to store dirty diapers. Having a comfortable beach tent or umbrella for shade is an ideal way to create a dedicated area for your child to relax. I like to store the blanket outdoors in the shade. We bought this small pool in advance and also installed it in the shade for Avett. He loves it! This calms him down and also entertains him. Let’s blow it up on the beach and fill it with sea water.

If your child is old enough to drink from a sippy cup, be sure to take him or her to the beach with you. Keep the water full and offer it frequently to keep them hydrated. However, bring plenty of beach toys to keep your child happy!

You might be wondering how to get it all to the beach. I highly recommend purchasing a beach buggy with large wheels designed for driving on sand. We used it on every trip and I don’t know what we would do without it. Another tip is to get a lounge chair that you can lay on your back. This gives you more room in the stroller and arms so you can carry your baby (or other things…).

I have another blog post that you can read here that has some general tips about going to the beach with kids that can also be applied when traveling with a baby.
