The Carlyle House is a famous home owned by the wealthy businessman John Carlyle. You can visit the 1753 John Carlyle House, which was the social and political center of Alexandria in the 1800s. It used to be by the water, but we heard it was there until it was filled. the land near the water will expand a few blocks. We also knew that many children were not adults at that time.

Named after the town’s founders, John and Philip Alexander, you’ll be greeted by a lobby with plush velvet chairs and a tea and coffee station. The best part is that it’s pet friendly, most dog owners charge an extra $100-$150 for the fee, but Alexandria only charges $25 to bring in a fur baby !
