First, a little background on how we became new pet parents. A few years ago, when COVID suddenly took over our lives and the first quarantine began, my husband and I joined a pet owners organization to help feed Indian dogs on the streets. And so we found a cute group of puppies that were lost in the park without their mother. They were less than a few weeks old and we took turns feeding each other. One of them was an active and playful puppy that one of our friends quickly named Raju because it was his favorite name for any dog.

Unfortunately, he met with an accident and bandits killed him in the middle of the night when he was less than six months old and broke his spine. Finally one of them agreed to the operation and we brought him home with the hope that one day he will be able to walk and run like normal dogs. However, two years later, although he can stand and walk a little, he is still crippled and unable to run in the wheelchair we made for him.
